Getting so frustrated over jailbreaked iphone! Need help changing firmware!?

OKAY to get anything good for your jailbroken Iphone you need 2.1 firmware right? I have 2.0 :[ and I can't figure out HOW TO get it to 2.1! I want to get apps and games for insimlators but it won't work without firmware 2.1!PLEASE HELP! GOOD ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE! I am stupid about technology and need step by step instructions mainly unless its really simple. A VIDEO or SITE explaining it would be nice.

shouldn't have jailbroken it. when will you people learn to play by the rules instead of turning your $200 phone into illegal junk.
