Getting Verizon to replace/refund my Glyde?

I have had problems with my Glyde since day 1 (April 09) and have tried to tough it threw. My wife and I ordered them and paid for them and I was mislead, the representative made it to be the best thing ever. I've never dropped it, spilled anything on it, and it has no physical damage. Its just a peice of garbage. I tried to get Verizon to replace it but they more or less told me to screw off. I talked to a Verizon rep at the local store and they suggested I contact tech support and see what they can do. I know the facts the Gylde is garbage, every who owns one agrees. I just want a different phone for equal or lesser value, nothing more.

FYI this comes after having to spend almost 3 hours over the phone due to mishaps while signing up with the service on behalf of the Verizon reps. While I was happy that It was taken care of, and happy with the person to finally set it all straight, this phone is driving me nuts.

if you had problems w that phone since april you should have returned it right away and not wait months and months. Verizon gives you 30 days and if you dont return it within 30 days then you're stucked w the phone.. Sorry...

Well, you should have a one-year warranty on your phone where VZW will do an in-house exchange. The exchange is a refurb but may fix whatever problem you are having (you didnt mention it).

The glyde is crap. Everyone there knows and I cant believe they are still selling them. I would always, ALWAYS tell a cust not to get it. They do have a policy where if you have more than 2 replacements of the phone (for refurbs) they can get you a new, free, diff model. So I would say... just get to ordering replacements from cust service. Do two in 1-3 months and then call again and ask for a new model. However, just be aware you dont get to pick the model There is a predetermined model selected for each phone that gets to that point. But its really your only option after the 30 days. Any other model is better.

You might have to take a loss with this. You should have returned the phone immediately. Check ebay for cheap Verizon Phones. And if you hate your phone that much, sell it on ebay. That way, you may be able to get the money back that you pay for a new one. Good Luck!
