Give blood then take exam?

I want to give blood on Tuesday, but the problem is that I am a college student and I have en exam the same day. I would give blood at around noon and take the exam at 5. I have given blood once before and it didn't affect me at all but afterward I just took it easy the rest of the day.
So basically I am just asking, will it affect me at all to give blood then take an exam? Would less blood in my system somehow affect like how fast my brain can work and stuff like that?
