God told Peter it is now permissible to mingle with Gentiles, he did not

give permission for consuming unclean? meat? So why do Christians say God said it is permissible to consume these things like Pork and Shellfish.

Peter himself had said (3 times) God had not meant that he could now eat any unclean animal, he had merely granted permission for mingling with the gentiles. I wonder if this is due to misinterpretation of Peter's words.

Colossians 2:16
Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holy day, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

Do you know why this verse is in the Bible?

It is because when the Apostles began preaching to the gentiles the gentiles did not know what was unclean to eat or what a sabbath day was or what holy days they were supposed to observe. When gentiles were won for Christ, the Jews often judged them for such things. Paul told the Jews not to judge the gentiles because of such things. You should not judge them either. Who died and made you an Apostle. Stop preaching lies.

Can I have your share of the shellfish and dead piggie, please? I'm a Forn Sed Nordic Heathen and much like our ancestors, we'll eat anything we can catch. It's a survival issue. It's extra tasty if we can somehow get it to rot......er, I mean "ferment", in the snow. We don't get sick from this and I'm always amazed that other people do. It must suck to have such a delicate constitution. My condolences.
