Does God have a 'plan' for starving, dying brittle-boned babies in Africa, whose nine million mothers pour their hearts out in prayer every year with no response?
Was God's 'plan' for Elisabeth Fritzl to be locked in a cellar and raped by her father (often in the presence of her children, conceived through her father), and not seeing sunlight for 24 years? What about the one child, Michael, deprived of all medical help, who died three days after birth? Can you imagine how Elisabeth must have prayed all those years, with no response? What was God's plan for them?
What makes you think God has a special plan for rich, spoiled Americans? That he's going to answer your prayer for a car, but, yeah, screw the little dying two-year-old with brittle bones. There's something about YOU that makes you somehow more important. Why do we go on believing in this?
