Going on vacation, gonna have my period. Help!?

My friend invited me to go on vacation with her to a lake. They're renting a boat so we're gonna be tubing, jet skiing, water skiing, etc, and of course swimming. We're going for 5 days, and I'm supposed to get my period the second day we're there! I want to participate in all the activities. I've worn tampons a couple times, but I've never gone swimming while on my period. What should I do?!

JUst wear tampons. the first time i wore tampons i went swimming. it doesnt feel weird at all. if you dont wanna wear tampons you can try wearing pads however that will be really uncomfortabel and awkward while swimming. if you are self concious wear board/swim shorts while doing the activites. if you dont even wanna go swimming just say you dont feel good or something but i expect u will wanna have fun so just wear tampons! good luck!

going swimming while your on your period really isnt a big deal, just use a tampon and you should have no problem at all, i swim all the time when im on my period and i've never had any problems with it

theres really nothing you can do, except avoid the water unless you need to, and wear tampons-theyre perfectly safe to swim in. just avoid pads in the water at all costs.
