I had some Goldschlager awhile back, it has some small gold flakes in it. i was told if you drink the gold flakes it puts small cuts in our stomache and liver and gets you drunker faster because the alcahol goes straight to your bloodstream. Is this true at all or is it a myth?

Thanks

You were told quite a story. The flakes can do as much harm to you as freshly shaved Parmesan cheese. The FDA would never allow this to be sold if it did such things. I've drunk it for many years and even had a lower GI and an endoscopy - nothing like that has ever shown up.

I don't think that is true. I don't know what connection your stomach and bloodstream has, but not one that can get you drunk fast. It's pretty much like eating the pink "cotten candy" in your attic until your tummy itches.
