Google Search "Package file was not signed correctly"? (Android)?

I tried to open Google Search, and every time it would say "Unfortunately, Google Search has stopped". I figured I would update it to try and fix it, but I get this error: "Package file was not signed correctly."
In addition, the app is factory default installed, so I can't remove it to try again. Thanks for any help in advance.
