Gossip Girl...Dan and Serena?

Ok so question...since we know know that rufus and lily have a child does that make dan and serena related. Even if you don't watch GG you can try to answer this. So if rufus and lily had a child that would make the child both dan and serena's half brother. So if you share a half brother and one parent from each family is the mom or the dad but then they married other people and had more children does that make the two people (dan and serena or eric and jenny) related???? I know that was kinda confusing but please try to figure it out.
 
Dan and Serena are not related. The only way they would be related is if Rufus and LIly were to get married and then they would be step-siblings. As it stands now they no social or moral barriers to their relationship.
