My car has been grinding when I start it up. It makes a sound as if you were to continue turning the key after the car is started. Also, it tends to happen during warm start ups. It doesn't happen in the morning or if the car has been off for more than a few hours.
Somebody told me they thought it could be my solenoid. Does this sound plausible? Also, if it is, is it a cheap fix? Something I could do myself?
Any help would be great.
