I have just gotten two new female guinea pigs. I bought just one, at first, at 8pm on tuesday evening and put her in her cage and got her sorted, etc. But then, in the morning, i decided to get another one to keep her company, so i went back to the store and got a second female, from the same pen as i bought my first one. There was about 12 hours between introducing the second guinea to the cage.
They seemed perfectly calm with each other on the first introduction, (which was about 11 hours ago) and most of the time theyre calm with each other and i have handled them together so far and theres been no problems. but i noticed from watching them at the minute one of them chases the other out of the hidey house, and the other chases the other away from the hay. I thought i saw one of them bare their teeth at the other, too, and they seem to chase each other a little, but if they get a shock they hide together in the house and purr. Whats going on?
