A bank manager was on his way to work one day. He was wearing a mask. Why?

I seriously cannot figure it out. Any help please?
p.s. he is not robbing the bank
- he does not wear the mask often
- everybody can see the mask
- there is no event happening
one of you asked how i knew the answer was not "a loan arranger", i knew because i was asked this by a teacher and was told that it was not the correct answer
he is also not a criminal
