And all their information is confidential so they can't share ANY of it with anyone, say the Nurses or Doctors son/daughter caught it off that specific patient but were unsure and the parent doctor knew who it was would she tell her son/daughter?
why are you all cocky Fucccckers? only a question chill out.

That is actually not a riddle at all. A riddle is more of a mystery/trick question that you need to solve; yours is more of a legal question. It's highly unlikely that a doctor would be treating her son or daughter's lovers. I mean if you slept with someone, and his/her mother was a doctor, would you choose her as your doctor? Please. But as far as I know, yes, doctors are required to uphold patient confidentiality. Besides, the patient should know better than the doctor whom s/he caught HIV from. Usually when you visit your doctor, you share general details about your sexual history, you don't say, "Well, this year I slept with Tim Johnson, Kyle Jones, Jake Larson...." You don't really bring names into it.

IF the child caught HIV off their parent they have enough problems don`t you think , seeing as it is MOSTLY sexually transferred.

I don't see why they would. It wouldn't do the son/daughter any good to know where it came from. They already have the disease; knowing the source isn't going to change that.

Patient confidentiality comes first. The person with HIV would have been asked about all sexual contacts so they could tell them to get tested and one would think if someone you have had sex with is saying you should have an HIV test then you would have a pretty good idea they have it.
