As is often the case with concerts I go to, the verdict is basically brilliant show, tedious crowd. (I'm saying this as someone who has little patience for people who go to concerts or movies to do any of the following: have lengthy conversations, spend much of the show texting, repeatedly excuse themselves and make everybody get up an inordinate number of times, etc.) There were even people who arrived late and then couldn't even wait until the end of the last song to leave. I know this reeks of curmudgeonly old fartism, but it's seriously aggravating.
As for the show itself, like I said, brilliant. Roger Waters is a genius, and "The Wall" is arguably his greatest work - which is saying a lot, since everything Pink Floyd released in the seventies was great IMHO. His guitarist's playing style and singing voice were close enough to David Gilmour's to make it easier to forget the latter's absence, even if his presence would have made an unbelievable show even better. I highly recommend going if the opportunity presents itself, since you might not get another chance. Hopefully the people around you will be much cooler than the people in my section were. (I saw him at Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, incidentally.)
