Has anyone solved the mystery of the "mingled" drink Christ refused?

Allegory

References:
- in Matthew 27:34 "mingled" drink is vinegar + gall.
- in Mark 15:23 the "mingled" drink is wine + myrrh.
- in Galatians 4 such things are an "allegory"

Could such allegorically be grace + law, which is
allegorically (as if) blessed + cursed = accursed,
and in the worse case scenario
grace + law is as if life + death

Eg: Genesis 2: 16 + 17 mingles "contrary" things:
every tree (above) + not every tree (beneath),
harmless grace (above) + harmful law (under).
When mingled, it's an oxy-moron:
the mingling of contrary things.

It could be based on the Jewish Law forbidding the planting of different kinds of seeds in the same plot, and of mixing fibers to make cloth (now interpreted to mean not mixing wool and linen). There is a generalization of this law that one does not combine dissimilar things.

The religious significance is more likely to be an aspect of Jewish ritual purity. Jesus was Jewish, you know, so you need only look at Jewish law to find out why he did or did not perform certain acts.
