Has anyone toured a prison?

Im doing a project for CJ and im going to summarize about when i went to prison for high school. Only problem is that i dont remember much, so if u can talk about ur experiences in excrusiating detail, then i might remember some things. Please only comment if you have toured one. Thank you.

the one I toured was empty except for myself and two other guys. I was accidentally(on purpose) locked in one of the cells by one of my 'comrades'. I escaped within 30 min.

I had a tour of the Old Melbourne jail when I was in high school which is where they hung Ned Kelly and the cells were incredibly small. I would say that the penal system has changed for humanitarian reasons to a more accommodating system for prisoners. Jobs are a source of income within the jails as well as gymnasiums to avert trouble between the prisoners. The cell divisions are more appropriate and the divisions are divided to accommodate serious felons while other divisions are for the minor felons and so on.
