He has broken franchise records, and put his name in the NFL's history books. NOT ONCE BUT TWICE. Just think, 11 weeks ago, he was another no name talent out of a small school. To being one of the most spectacular and dominating WR's this season. I see BIG things for him in the future. Think, he has done more his rookie season, than many people in the NFL have done in their years.
What does being known have to do with being remarkable. And who won that game against the #1 ranked defense in the league? Also, he is a ROOKIE, on a team with many receivers to choose from, a veteran, two of the best TE's this year, and a RB who can do it all, yet still manages to become the FIRST NFL rookie to score 3 TD's in 1 quarter.
@American Typo. I know, but he was drafted behind alot of WR's. In fact, he is having a better year than alot of veteran WR's. He broke NCAA record after NCAA record and continued the cycle. He is TERRIBLY underrated.
Hey. While we are on this Cam Newton topic, how many game saving passes does he have. Also how many INT's has he thrown, 12 ?
And how do you think Newton would do if he played the Steelers? or Texans?
And your rookie comment is invalid, considering Smith is a rookie also.
Uh, can I say Andy Dalton?Look at what he has done to the Bengals.
Christin Ponder, don't even lie, the dude has talent out of this world, and this Joe Succo guy, had better stats his rookie year than Cam Newton does now.
Oh yea, he completely changed the Panthers, that 2-8 record is a HUGE improvement huh?
Get off of Cam Newton dick
And how is the trasition easier. Being able to adjust to a ball that could be easily picked off is easy, what if your QB has a monster arm and. It's easy to get down the field in 4 seconds. What about all the veteran CB's lined up infront of you.
How does a defense make QB's stats better, im pretty sure Ray Lewis isn't the one under center, and I realize you COMPLETELY left Andy Dalton out of your comment. Who has 14 TD's, and 9 INT's.

Do you live under a rock?
Cam Newton. Half the football world doesn't even know who Torrey Smith is.

Ok, Torrey Smith scored those 3 toucvhdowns on the Rams. I think i could do that if the Ravens signed me for that game. You are severely over-hyping him.

Do you not know that Cam is still a rookie? over 2600 yards, around 60% completion percentage 12 pass TDs 9 rushing. Hell id rather havbe newton right now than joe succo. Id rather have freaking curtis painter. maybe that way they would hand off the ball that to throw 50 times a game with a QB not suitable for the NFL. Hes terrible complete garbage. They will make the playoffs and he will crumble again like he has done the past years. He will never be good enough.

Stop sucking torrey smiths d i c k

Becuase its a hell of a lot harder for rookie QBs to come in and make an imopact like he has. you see a handful of rookie recievers come up big every year, the transition is easier.

Oh yeah Ponder is soo good. 5 TDs 6 INTs and a 68 QB rating. Thats phenomenal. I wonder why? joe succo has had a top 5 D and running game every year hes been in the league

Torrey Smith was never a no name talent! He was a second round draft pick and many scouts ranked him as the third best wide out in the draft class.

Is he the best offensive rookie? Don't know. Andy Dalton and A.J. Green have been fantastic. Cam Newton is putting up gaudy stats. Julio Jones has added a whole new dimension to the Falcon's once vanilla offense.

This might be the year of the wide out with Green, Jones and Smith all play so well this early in their careers.

I haven't seen one mention of Von Miller yet. Dude easily has been the best rookie so far and is no doubt a future All-Pro.

I'm more impressed with Newton. I thought he would be a bust, but he might be pretty good
