Have any of you heard older (37+) housewives complain about their husbands

neglecting them? They talk about how attentive they were when they started seeing each other when she was in her early- or mid 20s, but now he's neglectful. Of course, the part they usually leave out is how they've neglected themselves. After you spend even a fair amount of time in the sun you get wrinkles, that's part of ageing. But these women usually let themselves go in other ways (don't work-out, stuff their faces, don't groom as much), and then mark men as being superficial. Of course, physical beauty is a key attractant for men, as 'ambition' is for females. If her man dropped out of grad school, or quit his high-paying job to work at a fast food restaurant (neglected himself), you'd see how damn fast she'd start to get 'neglectful' towards him. As a man reaches his late 30s early 40s, he most likely has more in the way of financial resources than ever before (which makes him valuable), and, not as though as it matters that much, most likely is as physically attractive as he was when he was 28 (unlike females), so do you blame the guy for not wanting to make it with you as much even though you're the one who's actually neglectful?
I'm referring to guy I worked for who's wife cheated on him and then had the nerve to get divorced and seek alimony, but I've known of other similar stories.
I'm in 20s, so 37 is older (if it makes you feel better, the sight of some exceptional 40-year-old women (usually jogging and wearing spandex) makes me erect. I have no problem with cougars.
 
I only know one housewife who is over 37. She looks spectacular and her husband knows it.
 
Jeez, and men act as if we're less logical. Logically, you should marry someone you actually like, yknow, as a person. And actually KNOW them before you marry them. A guy who marries his wife for her looks deserves to have the marriage break up, I don't get how he can have expected it to work. People get older and uglier, it's life. Women AND men.

Watch it there buddy. I'm about to turn 36 in a few weeks, and my hubby tells me that he's never seen me so beautiful as I am now.
(even with my stretch marks from two pregnancies)

I do take care of myself, not for him per se..but because it's my body and I only have just the one.
 
From the tone of your question I gather that you believe (A) 37 is old for a woman and (B) a woman's primary value is in her appearance. How sad. When a man marries, he marries a whole person, not just her figure, with the expectation she will age, just as he will.

yeah. a guy tends to get bored with the same woman for years and years. once she gets older she tends to look like garbage.

if the woman stays in good shape and maintains her good looks.....then the husband will not lose interest in her.
 
i would be disappointed if my hubby got really fat or something when he was older. Its different if its a natural part of aging or a medical thing but men still have to make lots of effort.Why would you if you loved the person? You would want to look your best for them and vice versa. I think all men and women feel like that and thats why some older people stop having sex. Me and my husband have talked about this and we both agree.
