Have those on the right picked up on the fact that?

just as big business needs our government to bully middle eastern countries around in order to keep oil cheap, big business also needs a steady flow of illegal immigrants (that work for cheap) in order to remain competitive with world markets?

If you do realize this, than why did you support the Iraq War since 2003, but rally against illegal immigration?

If you really wanted gov't out of the way of the markets than you'd have no problem with undocumented workers. The US market relies upon them.
Kool Aid: we do drill for our own (ever been to the Gulf of Mexico?), the Middle East just has a lot more of it than we do.
Captain Falcon: No, the US market relies on illegal immigration to maintain competitive advantages with other countries that have cheaper labor pools.
Andy: Actually, the state and Federal tax revenue is drawn mostly from large companies, not workers. The 2% really does fund the government.
Captain Falcon: We all know how to pick fruit, but poor people from Mexico won't demand health insurance or enough money to send their kids to college with. Most Americans will.
Mike: Big business need money, no care about cleaning messes. MONEY MAKE WORLD GO ROUND!
cmdrbnd007: according to you, my logic is fuzzy, yet you've made this single statement and no rebuttal. I'm going to stick w/ my logic on this one.
Morpheus: Abortion issue is more of a branding strategy. Simply to get more votes for the GOP. Different factions banded together decades ago under the Reagan ticket.
TIME's Person of the Year: You don't have to be illegal to get paid under the table. Just be willing to take less money, no benefits or legal protection from an employer that's willing to pay you. Go for it, it works (I promise).

I think it's kind of a funny thing for the Republican party... the rich Republicans, and Republican politicians aren't really too big on really cracking down on Illegal Immigration, for the reasons you stated, but the Republican party member is either a real fiscal conservative and apparently thinks Illegal Immigration is costing us more than it's helping us, or is racist and doesn't like hispanic people. So for many Republican voters, it's a huge issue... quite a delicate balancing act for the rich and powerful among them, pretend to be tough on it, but keep it flowin.

Captain Falcon apparently thinks Americans will do work for a few dollars an hour. Andy apparently thinks that the Congressional Vote (where they were lied to by Dubya as well) equates to Democratic supporters supporting the War in Iraq currently, which is what the questioner (rightfully) was asking about the average Republicans current beliefs. Fail on both.

Mr Wordy, Because illegal immigrants are kinda like Casino gambling, Yes they have a lot of benefits, And bring in a ton of revenue, But more revenue then they bring in is spent cleaning up the carnage they leave behind. God bless.

Illegal immigrants do work for less and that's what business wants. But when everybody complains that they're receiving health benefits, you have to realize that unless they're being paid under the table, they are paying Social Security and Medicare taxes out of their paychecks. They can claim enough dependents to negate their income taxes on the state and federal level, but everybody pays FICA and medicare. There's no deduction or refund for that.
