If you, and others like you, were to not speed (ie break the speed limit), then the following benefits would be possible:
1. Fewer accidents, and the accidents that do happen would tend to be less serious.
2. Lower fuel bills - e.g. if you drove at 70mph instead of 80+ mph on the motorway, and reduced your customary sharp acceleration and braking.
3. Less environmental damage/CO2 emissions as a result of lower fuel consumption.
4. No more need for speed cameras and road humps - these are only necessary because of you and drivers like you who speed. All that would be necessary would be clearly visible speed limit signs.
5. A more comfortable ride for your passengers - a less terrifying experience!
6. Less pain to your wallet as a result of speeding fines, and less points on your license with subsequent risk of losing your license.
7. Would leave the police more time to concentrate on solving other crimes.
