Allah (s.a.w.) before you complained? He (s.a.w.) never knew his own father. And to top that, he (s.a.w.) lost his mother at five. Parent-less at five. A brief moment of happiness lightened his pain when his grandfather took him. Later to die as well as his parents. Who knew how dark his world was and how lonely he (s.a.w.) felt at that point? He (s.a.w.) then was taken by his uncle where he learned to do tasks most of us wouldn't do when we were kids. There, he felt the pain of hunger when he was sharing food with Abu Talib's other children. Despite that, he (s.a.w.) was patient and didn't complain. As an adult, he (s.a.w.) was well-known for his manners. But he (s.a.w.) was also coerced and tempted to indulge in the ways of the Mushrikeen. In spite of that, he (s.a.w.) didn't give up to those temptations. He (s.a.w.) was known as Al-Amin among his people. But when he (s.a.w.) received the Revelation and propagated it to them, they turned their back on him. They ridiculed him. They shut their doors on his face and refused to open it for him. They threw garbage at his doorstep. The Mushrikeen imposed a boycott on him and his family. He (s.a.w.) again, felt the pain of hunger. But he (s.a.w.) never gave up spreading the Message. He (s.a.w.) went to Taif in hope that the people would be more accepting than the Mushrikeen of Makkah. But hospitality was denied to him. They threw rocks at him till his mouth bled. The children also threw filth at him. And when Jibreel came to him, offering to befall the mountain upon the people of Taif. He (s.a.w.) refused. Instead, he (s.a.w.) prayed for the future generations to open their hearts to Islaam. After some time, the boycott upon Banu Hashim ended. But soon after, his uncle died, refusing to profess the Shahadah. And to top that, his beloved wife Khadijah (r.a.), the first Umm Al-Mu'mineen, the first to accept the Message, died. Who knew how the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.) faced the pain and grief that enshrouded him? And finally it was time to leave his own beloved city, Makkah. And even then, the Mushrikeen put a price on his head, leaving him open to attacks. However, by the will of Allah, he (s.a.w.) managed to overcome that and gathered followers in his new residence, Yathrib. But soon he engaged in wars with the Mushrikeen. He fought till his teeth were knocked. Till the mail that protected him dug his skin. Till he finally fell on the ground. He (s.a.w.) desired to perform Hajj, and brought his followers along with him to Makkah. Only to be stopped at forced to turn back. After some time, he (s.a.w.) finally entered Makkah in a bloodless coup. And the ones who wronged him before, were at their knees begging for his forgiveness. The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.) forgave them, never seeking revenge. And finally, it was almost time to return to the Creator. He (s.a.w.) delivered the Final Sermon in his Farewell Pilgrimage. He (s.a.w.) later fell ill afterwards. Even during the final moments he (s.a.w.) suffered such pain and anguish. Despite that, he still bore the thought about his followers and said, "Ya Ummati! Ya Ummati!" It was finally time. And his last words were a Duaa' of forgiveness to Allah S.W.T., even when he was the most beloved of all to Him. He (s.a.w.) left us with the noblest of the words, and the best of traditions. The Qur'an and the Sunnah. He (s.a.w.) often prayed for his own forgiveness despite the fact that he was a Messenger. He (s.a.w.) forgave those who wronged him. The most loving of husbands. The most caring of fathers. The most trustworthy of friends. The most empathetic of leaders. The most humble of people. So. Have you ever tried putting yourself in the position of the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.) before you complained about your life? - Have you? Allahumma Salli 'ala Muhammad. Allahumma Salli 'ala Muhammad. Allahumma Salli 'ala Muhammad.
