Last summer I was driving on the interstate with the A/C on. Pulled into a rest area and left the engine running in case the turbo was hot. (That is according to the manual) I locked it with a second key fob so it wasn't going anywhere. When I came back about ten minutes later, it had almost no power. Couldn't get it faster than 35mph. I had to dive for the shoulder when I tried to get back on the interstate. I turned off the key and just waited a minute or two and it ran perfect.
Then it happened one time in the winter when I was running the defroster, which also runs the A/C system in short bursts to dry the air and prevent window fogging. So I had hot weather one time and cold weather the next. The only thing common was the driving at 65, parking for about ten minutes engine idling and A/C running. I just wonder if I am the only person to experience that. From now on, if I have to let it idle after driving fast, I turn the key off and wait a bit before restarting and heading back on the road. It hasn't happened anymore.
