Have you had any greater success catching EVPs with stereo recorders than mono?

I have seen a lot more digital recorders with stereo recording as of late. I was wondering if anyone has experimented with these new stereo digital recorders for electronic voice phenomenon in paranormal research. Has anyone had any greater success in comparison to mono digital recorders?

The digital recorders that I and my team use come with stereo mics and can record both stereo and mono. However, we've always used the mono setting because the stereo takes up so much storage space. We've captured some excellent class A EVP that makes most of the stuff you hear on the ghost hunting shows sound like garbled noise. We're of the opinion that our success is due to using external "lapel" mics with their own battery power.

If you're looking at buying a stereo recorder I would suggest getting one with a memory card slot.
