I have been invited to my friends 18th party its a little sit down thing and there is already a set out menu, I got an email from her telling me this and if I was a vegetarian to tell her and she would make changes. I am a vegan and I have been for a few years now. Wouldnt it be kind of difficult for me to muck it all around like that? Do you think I should tell her or just leave it and not go? I dont want to seem rude or difficult either way.

To not go would be rude. Parties are about celebrating with friends, not just about food. I'm sure as a vegan you will encounter this often. Your host is most gracious to offer, however it will be an imposition and she's probably not too experienced with what you eat. My personal opinion is to tell her thank you so much, but it's sweet enough of her to invite you and you don't want to impose. Then ask if it would be alright if you brought a vegan dish. So you can go. You can eat an all without being a pain in the neck to anyone.... everyone wins....
