I have always had very consistent periods starting around either the 18 or 19 of each month and lasting about 3 to 4 days. I’ve never suffered from cramps or any other period-related symptoms, other than tender breasts a few days prior to period. However, the past two months my periods have been a few days early and accompanied by killer cramps, the kind where it feels like an axe is repeatedly hitting you and all you can manage to do is roll into a ball and hope to die. My period before last started on the 16th of January and ended around the 19th, less than two weeks after the start of it, I started another period of heavy bleeding (feb 4th) that has had no cramps what so ever. This period started after a week of being incredibly stressed out and sick. Its now 4 days later, the heavy bleeding has resided and now I’m just left with the last bit of brown old blood working its way out. Is this something I should be concerned about? I’m planning to take a home pregnancy test just in case, since the last time I had sex was Jan 22nd (protected sex, and also, he didn’t finish). But I have doubts about being pregnant due to the amount of blood, if I were; it would have been a miscarriage I was bleeding from. And before anyone mentions it, yes, I am planning to go to the doctor; it will just be about a week before I can get an appointment. Does anyone have any insight on this matter? Is the early periods and sudden cramps of the past two months related to this even earlier period? And is it even a period.?…
