Help! Change thermostat in 2001 Pontiac Montana?

My boyfriend and I have already removed an changed the thermostat but we are having suck a hard time getting the housing back on without losing the bolts. Been at it for a couple of hours and we are both so frustrated. Does anyone know the easiest way to be able to put it back on! PLEASE HELP!
 
try sticking bolts in before laying it in place and if its where one cant hold with finger and have to use wrench try and put a small strip of paper between bolt and wrench to keep it from falling also can use small hose and push bolt into end of
