HELP DIVX VIDEO PROBLEM?

I converted a video off my roxio through the DIVX converter and i had the output as HD, but the finished product isn't in HD and now I can't edit them in the ROXIO editing software? Help please?
 
If your DVD home player can ue DIVX, then transfer those files onto a CD and then when you play them use a second recorder and then inf the DVD player is able to record, then you can edit them onto that.
