I have a new Asus g71gx-a1 with the Quad q9000 cpu and the nvidia geforce gtx260m.
Two issues. The secondary display the OLED is not lighting up at all... i cant even see a second screen in there - do they not come with them? The Direct console shows the oled message section but wont let me select it. If it doesnt come with it whatever not a huge deal... i can always use another monitoring prog.
Second (which i actually do care about) the turbo Gear V1.00.22 is not letting me get to the overclock mode. I cannt click on the setting button (top left lightning bolt) at all and i can select overclock but it has an empty drop down box.
Anyone know if it can even be over clocked? Do i need a third party software prog. to run it? I dont think i do. I have already tried the reset at the bottom of the laptop, and i have done a full system restore up to the first partition (its brand new so i dont have anything on it... the only mods i made was taking norton off, installing avast and canceling the check email on start up) but the problems i am having were there beforei did any mods. I already re-installed the drivers/utilities... and when that didnt work i tried uninstall and re-install from the support.asus.com site to rule out corrupt software cd.
