Help! I am interested in converting to Judaism?

Are there any sites where I can download ebooks and Jewish documents, where I can learn more about this religion. Also, the synagogue in my city is far from where I live so I want to be well informed before I confront a Rabbi.

I don't mean sites like wikipedia, I want videos and free downloads.

You got to know if you are really interested, it is not an easy process or religion. try Judaism101.com to see for yourself if it is what you think it is.Orthodox Judaism is the only follower of the Torah fully, without changing the laws to match their own needs.
 
why not islam??it is v. similar to judaism and it is the final message

judaism is only for jews (you must have a jew mother to be a jew)

books: Jewish Literacy, The Complete Idiot's Guide to Understanding Judaism (real book by a rabbi), Choosing a Jewish Life, The Jewish Home, What is a Jew, What's Special about Judaism (Amazon.com used books are a great resource)

Learn about the branches, determine which you are drawn to. Learn as much as you can and contact the rabbi at a synagogue near you (I drive 50 miles one way to my synagogue).

There are four branches: Orthodox, Conservative, Reconstructionist, Reform ("Messianic Judaism" is NOT part of Judaism)
 
i'd suggest that you study Islam & then compare it with any religion of the world .. u'll feel the difference .
