Help! I could use some fresh prospective please!
I am working on some character profile for a new project I am working on and I am having a hard time settling on a name for my two main characters.
The story takes place in a small made up town. Very quaint, very small town charm-ish, the kind of place people dream of raising their kids someday…and the kids raised there can’t wait to until they are 18 so they can get the hell out.
The heroine of my story has kind of fallen into her life by default not necessarily by choice, although she most-likely would have chosen it for her self had she been given the chance. At the age of 10 shortly after her mother’s death, her father sent her to visit her Grandmother for the summer, but never bothered to pick her back up. Her Grandmother owned several small businesses in town including the small Inn, a majority of the local paper and the general store. Grandma also had a small circle of ladies who gathered once a week her house. When the Heroine’s Grandmother died not only did she inherit all of the businesses but she inherited the small group of friends who won’t take the hint and go away. My heroine is tall, slender, and tomboyish, with brown hair and blue eyes. She’s carved out a nice life for her self where she feels useful and wanted.
My Hero is the local boy makes good story. He knew what he wanted the moment he finished high school and that was to get out of town and make something of him self. His father was the local Sheriff, so he her had a reputation of being a bit of a trouble maker when he was young. It was a little bit of a shock when he ended up in the law just like his father. But several years in the big city and watching his partner die a horrific death he was helpless to stop, my Hero has come home to slow things down… or maybe it was more like ordered by the PTS doctors.
The story is going to throw these two together when the Girl finds out her grandmother’s dealings were not always on the up and up and that circle of friend of hers is more like a coven.
I have all of the names of all of the surrounding characters what I can’t seem to find is a name that will fit my two main characters.
For him I have been toying around with Ethan McDonnell or Gabriel Carlson
For her I am at a total loss but I kind of like Valerie Sherman, Melanie Huston or Lillieanna Jenkins
