Atheist talk radio is a live AM talk show based in the Twin Cities and run by the Minnesota Atheists. As an occasional guest or interviewer of the show, I support it with countless hours of thinking of stuff to say. You can make your own contribution to keeping this important show on line by giving them some money.

We are requesting a financial contribution to the Minnesota Atheists Radio Fund to keep this program on the air and in Podcast for the rest of 2011. To date, we have produced 114 programs with a variety of perspectives on issues of importance to atheists and the public at large. The reason we produce this program is simple: if we, as atheists, do not control our message to the general public, no one else will speak for us. The program covers atheism, science, state church separation, Humanism and other related topics. We present atheists' views to the public in a manner that is respectful, informative and diverse.
The cost of running this show is a bit over ten grand a year. This does not include any personnel cost .... everyone involved is a volunteer. But there is, obviously, a cost for air time. The live show is converted into a podcast. Between the live show and the podcast, the show seems to have a fairly large audience, although to measure that audience using the usual methods would cost considerably more than is being paid now, as I understand it!

Read about the show and the fund raising efforts here. Also, the show's producer, Mike Haubrich, has written about the fund-raiser here. Or, just click here and specify how much you want to give.

Currently, I know that I have about 27 readers. They need 5320 dollars. So each of you needs to give a mere 197.00. Well, OK, they probably have some other donations coming in, so maybe 25 bucks a shot would do.

Thank you very much.
