My cat Rex, vomits atleast once a day. He is about 6 months old and otherwise healthy. He is a strictly indoor cat. He is a healthy weight (maybe even slightly overweight) and our only cat. He eats only dry food and kitty treats. He's a short haired kitty, with no signs of hairballs. We've changed his food, but it hasn't helped. We thought it might be over-eating (because of his weight) so we started feeding him only twice a day (rather than keeping food in his bowl at all times). He doesn't scarf down his food either. He's still throwing up. He makes a weird noise right before he vomits. It seems to be once a day, everyday. It's possible that it may happen othertimes when we are not home because he tries to eat it back up, but we don't ever see any other traces of it. This weird vomiting is the only sign of sickness. He's playful and energetic the rest of the time. There's never blood or hair in his vomit, so we haven't taken him to a vet yet. His stools also seem normal. Any ideas of what may be wrong? Should we dish out an expensive trip to the vet? Ps. I adopted him from the SPCA at 3 months old, but the vomittig only started a few weeks ago. Please help!
