Help! My dog won't go on walks!!?

I have a little problem: My dog won't go on a walk! She always just stops in the middle of the road, and then I have to carry her the rest of the way! Is there any way that I can get her to enjoy going on walks? It's not like she is obese or out of shape. She actually is full of energy at home! I just want her to get a little more exercise. We only go down to the cul-de-sac in my neighborhood, and that is not far away at all. Maybe the length of a football field? Maybe a little longer though...:) Anyways, any ideas would be awesome!! Thanks so much! :D
 
Stoping in the middle of the road is a suicide attempt,Your dog may be embarassed or ashamed to be seen with you. Hire a dog walker.
 
you need to show her who top dog is. dont stop pull her along but make sure you dont drag her to hard hurting her. bring a few treats with you and bribe her.
 
just keep walking when she stops don't let it be her decision. you could also try luring her with treats occassionally. or have a fun activity like fetch at the destination
