i just installed linux onto my pc last night. was playing around and accidentally got into bash, which was ok because i learned alot with it. problem is now i have no idea how to exit bash and get back to the regular desktop. i tried the exit prompt but it only took me back to the top and asked me for my username and password again.

ok. sorry im a real newbie so i really have no idea what sort of info is needed to answer this question. all i know is that i downloaded the unbunto version from ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download
then i created a boot disk and installed it onto a separate partition on my pc that is already running windows
and i got into bash by alt ctrl f6
