Hi
I accidentally put some petrol in my oil tank. I had to start it and get home last night. But this morning it's turning over but not starting. It usually takes a few goes to get it started but this morning I could tell it just wasn't going to happen. I guess the petrol may have sunk to the bottom and messed things up?
Do you think draining the oil and changing spark plug will do it? What are the chances it's seized up? I've not worked on any kind of bike or car before, but I'm a bit broke at the moment so if you think there's a chance I would be able to fix I myself I'd be grateful for some pointers.
The mechanic quoted either £50 plus parts (new spark plug, oil) or if it's 'seized up' it could be £200 !?!?!?
It's a 2 yr old Vespa 2stroke lx50. Recently serviced but it's not been starting well ever since anyway.
Thanks,
Christian
