I have had 3 convicts in my tank with some other fish. 2 convicts bread And made lots of little fry, the fy I believe were eaten to make room for another batch. The fry were only like 4-5 days old. They swam around but not very far. Maybe a few inches from the pit. That whole time the husband didn't gaurd or do anything. He went to the other aide and jut swam around doing noting. The mom did all the guarding and everything. This time, the new batch was only a day old when the NEW father fish did the samething. I then separated all the fish on one side with only the mother and fry on the other. The fry are about 10 days old and I think are free swimming. Thy are allowed to almost travel the entire separated side. But the mom still groups them a little. The fry are baybe a milla meter bigger and they swim faster, eat he micropellets I put in for them, and hey swim away from my fiver and my face. They arevery active and like to stay alon the walls and it looks like try to eat something in the rocks. Is my estimate on their age right? Why are the fathers leaving the mother? And when will the fry substantially begin to grow?? Thanks- Jordan
