im looking at a 2005 kia rio for 4900. it has 88,000 miles.
is this a good idea or are they just unreliable cheap cars

thank you!!

This is a good idea.

The 80's and 90's Kia's and Hyundai's were trash and that gave them a bad reputation.

From 2000-2003, they started improving, but they still had a few problems.

Now they are good cars. Not as good as the Japanese, but as good as the American and German cars. Average reliability.

The Kia Rio and Hyundai Accent are the cheapest cars made by Hyundai and Kia and the least reliable with the worst quality, but it will definitely last another 100,000 miles.

do not buy this piece of crap car, it will run for another 2,000 or 3,000 miles then give up on you. older model kias are notorious for tons of problems... do your wallet a favor and dont buy a kia... spend a little more and get a nissan toyota or honda< 10 times more reliable then any kia
