So I've had my iPhone on a prepaid plan with AT&T for a year now and it has worked great....until now. I switched to the $25 monthly plan and was told I needed to buy a data feature package because the iPhone is a smartphone...I bought the $25 for 500 data plan so $50 in total. However, right after I paid I was able to use my iPhone (call/text) except not use the data. I went to the AT&T store and told the guy that I paid for the data (because themoney was taken out of my account) and that Im not getting an data in return. He said that on his system it said that I DID have a data package attached to my line. But it's been two days and I still can't use the internet anywhere other than wifi.
So I have two questions: First, does AT&T check their system to see who has an iPhone with a prepaid accound? and if so, is that why my data isn't working?? What a waste then.
Second, I'm kind of scared to go back because the guy wanted to see my phone but I wasn't sure if they would get mad if they had found out that I had an iPhone so I said I "forgot" it at home. He told me to come back if the data was still not working but I KNOW he'll want to see my phone so that he can see if I really can't use the internet. If I do tell him, will they confiscate it or something?
Any opinions or solutions? Thanks in advance.
