I have a four year old Ford Explorer. I think something is up with the transmission. When I reach about 25 mph, I hear a slight straining noise, and the transmission seems to have difficulty shifting up. In order to get a smooth transition, I put on the breaks, slowly put on the gas again, and then it's perfectly fine. Once I get above 30 everything runs smooth as normally. This is just usually when I stop at lights. What do you think this could be? Could it be serious? I'm bringing it in to the dealership tomorrow.
