I have a 2000 VW Jetta and over the last few months my spouse and i have managed to drop both keys to the point the backs pop off the keyless entry remote. We put it back together and it doesn't work. We've tested the batteries and tried reversing the polarity of the batteries and nothing works. Has anyone had this issue and know how to fix it? Also an exceptional solution would be how to disable the alarm so it doesn't honk and flash lights when we turn it on without the first unlocking it with the remote?
