Help with a huge phone bill. Is there any loopholes for this special case?

My sister who is a minor, and who therefore cannot sign a legally binding contract, created an AT&T U-verse PDA account on her cell-phone(out of either stupidity or naivety, I am still pretty baffled at how this could happen). She did this without the consent or knowledge of my parents or any adult. Anyways, this has caused my parents to receive a phone bill of well over a $1000 directly due to this U-verse account. I am hoping that there is some legal loophole so as we do not have to suffer this financial burden.... Are their any law experts or anyone else who might tell me how to help us fix this mess?
By the way, we are obviously tight on money recently, or we would just pay the bill. Also, I want to solve this problem in logical and honorable way. Any suggestions? Thanks

I could see how you think that, but it is honestly not the case. I have nothing to do with paying the bill. I have no reason to be dishonest about what is going on. My family is honestly just in financial trouble and I was attempting to try and help them out because I truly find their phone bill extremely rediculous. I am really embarassed having to post something like this on the internet and find it rather degrading, but I am desperate. Your comment makes me regret trying to get help from the online community and just adds to the embarrassment that I already felt. All I was trying to see is if anyone else had a similar experience and what their outcome was.. I am doing this without the knowledge of my parents., who are trying their best to pay the bill... All I was basically trying to ask is do you think that AT&T would drop the extra charge that my parents were completly oblivious to its creation until now
With that said, thank you to those whom actually tried to help me out
