Help with a scavenger hunt for my boyfriend?

For my boyfriend's 22nd birthday I'm getting him an Ipod touch and instead of just making it simple I wanna really make him work for it and I just wanna surprise him.
I was thinking of doing a scavenger hunt type thing where he had to go to different places and each place he would find a different surprise all leading up to me with the Ipod.
I'm having a hard time thinking of different ways I could do it so if you could help me out that would be awesome.
I have a few locations such as family memeber's mailboxes and whatnot I just need a few good ideas.
Anything would be helpful.

Hide it in your shirt or underwear or something and tell him he has to find it. Tell him everytime he gets close, you have to take off an item of clothing. When he starts looking around the house start to take off items peice by peice. You can determine when and what you want to take off based on where he goes. Once he gets close to you, you should just about be undressed with the ipod stuck to you some kind of way.
