help with bluetooth please?

ok i have a w800 phone but the cable has broke to trasfer my pics to my pc. i have seen programs around to download bluetooth onto my pc but im not sure on how it works. could someone please give me some recomendations and a little info on how it works please? just want to send pics to my pc from my phone, thats the main important thing but would also like to send stuff from my pc to my phone if at all possible.
i did download a bluetooth device to my pc but my phone didnt pick it up, am i doing something wrong?
please help!
 
You need to have a Bluetooth adaptor for your computer, it looks kind of like a jump drive you put in your USB port. Then it uses that to connect with the computer as a bridge. You just search for it and it will pop up. Software alone does not make your computer a bluetooth compatible unit.
