Help with Nokia Music Xpress 5300?

I have been trying to put some music on my phones mp3 player, but it's not working. I have been using Itunes, is that the problem? And is it possible to use itunes at all to put music on my phone?
I tried the PC suite software, & it wouldn't work with the itunes.
