I have been trying to do some novel writing for such a long time but struggle to form a plot from start to finish. Ideas usually come to me in bursts but when i try and thread a story together it usually deconposes and i run out of steam , espescially when it comes to a conclusion.

So any advice would be greatly appreciated or even ideas for plots. any genre any topic would be great !!!
thanks

Really old time period like before electricity are my favorites. Take your friends, your family, your hero's, your crushes and your enemies and write about the interactions between them and you back in the time period you pick. The easiest thing to write about is things you know a lot about.A different time just makes it more different.

I have some what of the same problem, I come up with amazing ideas, but I'm no where close to being that far in the story to have that happen. But I keep writing on it, that's my suggestion. When you get an idea write it down, and try to think of things that will work around it. Or if you have an awesome idea and can't think of something to happen before it, write that idea as the beginning of the story, have it as either a flashback, a dream, or have someone telling it as a story, then you can work on the things to follow.

Yes, I think you should write things down when you get an idea..
Especially about the characters. You should definitely form them on paper until
they are just right, because they are the ones who make the stories come to life.
I'm working on that myself....
GOOD LUCK!
