The 22-year-old third baseman has been considered Cleveland's top prospect for a while, and he's been on a binge in Triple-A (9-for-21, two homers, 14 RBIs) since returning from a concussion problem. Baseball America rated Chisenhall the No. 25 prospect in all of baseball before the year. Chisenhall hasn't posted pinball numbers thus far at Columbus (.265/.352/.427, seven homers), but maybe he'll hit the ground running.
The lefty-swinging Chisenhall made a splash with the big-league club in March, going 13-for-26 with a couple of homers. He'll bat seventh Monday at Arizona, taking his cuts against Ian Kennedy. If I were doing a fresh Shuffle Up for the corners right now, I'd slot Chisenhall in the $5-6 range.
Bang the drum for the Cleveland prospect in the comments. What are your Chisenhall expectations? And if you have a kind word for the departed Adam Everett (good glove, no stick), we'll take that as well.
