1999: Minh "Gooseman" Le and Jess "Cliffe" Cliffe release a Half-Life mod known as Counter-Strike. Hmm...sounds like just another stupid fanboy mod. Nothing will ever come of it.

2000: Microsoft announces that they have acquired Bungie Studios. Seeing as how integral Bungie is to Microsoft Game Studios now, it's crazy how late Microsoft secured their number one "killer app" maker with so much on the line. Mark Wilson
