Just when you thought reality shows couldn’t get any more disgusting, now we have a couple living in a river of human waste on an episode of TLC’s Hoarding: Buried Alive.

It’s been twenty years since Doug and Darlene have let anyone inside their home and the shame of their compulsive hoarding has kept them isolated from family and friends. But to make matters worse, they have also turned a blind eye to black mold, cracking walls and a collapsing roof. And for the past four months, an overflowing septic tank has filled the first floor of their home with a river of human waste. City code enforcement has already warned them once, either clean up or risk eviction. But a follow-up visit could turn that warning into a very serious reality.

If you want to watch all the nastiness, the episode airs this Sunday, August 5 at 9/8c. You can get a sneak peek on the TLC site.
