Dead or Alive, the film, opened over the weekend in the US. How'd it go? How do you think it went: it stunk up the place. Opening on 505 screens across the country, the film pulled in $232,000. That's $460 per screen. Which is awful! Really, really awful!
Still got no idea why they bothered opening it in the US. Anyone from anywhere else already subjected to a theatrical release cold have told you "you know what, no, give this one a miss". Which considering the film is about five scantily-clad girls with swords who fight for 93 minutes says it all, really. Luke Plunkett
