After much titular speculation, we headed over to Marquee to celebrate Maxim's ill-advised philosemitic photospread, "Women of the Israeli Defense Forces." A soggy line of Jews waited along 10th Avenue as the thump of house music escaped the club. Gal Gadot, Miss Israel 2004, posed with Israeli Ambassador Arye Mekel, who closely resembles a very wily hedgehog. It was like the heirloom edition of J-Date. Inside, I fully expected to find a platoon of ultra hot IDF commandos but, with the exception of Gal Gadot, it seemed more like your everyday UJA meeting.
